Whenever I’m lying in bed playing
Bejeweled, my kitty decides it’s
time to curl up on my chest. And
the game gets put on pause.
— Donn Na
It’s like living in a haunted house:
strange noises in the other room
and things mysteriously falling off
— Todd Quenton Johnson
I can’t reach into the fridge without my
cat, BK, climbing onto my back to join
me for a look inside.
— Amanda Jo
I like to do jigsaw puzzles. There’s
always one cat or another who lies all
over the pieces.
— Donna Curtis
My cat sits in front of the TV when I’m
playing video games. “This is an intense
part of the game? You don’t mind if I
sit here, do you?”
— Al Rivera
My cat is the standard bed hog. She
sleeps right on top of the blankets in
the middle, so I end up sleeping on the
edge — with no blanket.
— Diego Delgado
When I sort laundry, I can’t touch the
pile she’s claimed as her bed.
— Tam Dot
My Graci cannot tolerate me talking
on the phone. Any time it rings, she
comes running and gets in my lap or
climbs up on me, and head-butts and
rubs my hand holding the phone. If
that doesn’t work, she starts meowing.
Whatever it takes to get me off the
phone. Once I hang up, she’s back to
doing whatever she was doing.
— Brinda Redman
There are struggles that only cat owners understand: a cat sitting on your book
when you’re trying to read; or claiming your computer keyboard as her bed —
while you’re working; or the fact that you can never go to the bathroom by yourself. Of course, as cat lovers, we wouldn’t have it any other way. This issue, we’ll be
dealing with #CatPeopleProblem No. 112 — Cats in the Middle of Things.
When I’m trying to
read, Belle decides
that sitting on my
chest would be great.
I can’t see or hold the
book. Even watching
TV is hard.
